Anyone for a Pork Tenderloin Sandwich or an Oriental Chicken Salad?

Have you heard that we have a new lunch menu in the Signature Grille? You may want to ask to see the new menu or talk to the servers about our new items. We have also added menu items to the weekend breakfast menu!

Artists at Work!

Harbor Hills is a wonderful place to enjoy golf, but there are many more activities for our members to enjoy. Yesterday our budding artists enjoyed a painting class and took home masterpieces created in one afternoon!

Happy Ending!

Chi-Chi has been found! Thank you to all the residents and employees who pitched in to search for Mr. and Mrs. Hilgart's pet. Chi-Chi is home and the Hilgarts can breathe a sigh of relief!

A Picture of Chi-Chi

Here is a photo of Chi-Chi, the lost dog described in the previous post. If you have seen Chi-Chi, please contact our new residents, the Hilgarts, or Rachel Pope. The Hilgarts would love to have their "family member" back with them in their new home.

Have you seen Chi-Chi?

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hilgart just moved to Harbor Hills on Friday and their little dog is missing. Chi-Chi is a 3 1/2 pound long haired Chihuahua. If you have seen Chi-Chi, please call Mr. Hilgart at 414-852-4579 or Rachel Pope at 455-0710. As you can imagine, Chi-Chi is a very important member of the family and a reward is offered for Chi-Chi's return. Please keep your eyes open and pass the word to your neighbors who may not read the blog.

Trick or Treat!

I have heard from the parents of some of our neighborhood ghosts and goblins that there will be trick or treating in Harbor Hills from 6:00-9:00 on Halloween night, Tuesday, October 31. If you would like to participate by treating the neighborhood children, stock up on candy (you want to buy your favorite in case you have to eat the leftovers) and get your cameras ready! I wonder what Judy Warren will dress as this year???!!!

First Impressions

The palm tree that greets you as you approach the North gate to Harbor Hills has been replaced with this stately fellow. He will make an even better impression when the twine is untied and the fronds are let loose. Have you noticed the great Florida roses that have also been planted at both the North and South entrances?

Letters! We Get Letters!

Letters are a great way to communicate and normally we love to have people communicate by letter. We love letters where people explain their concerns, letters where people acknowledge something we have done well or ask us to correct something we have not done so well, and letters where people make constructive suggestions. And the majority of the letters we get do fall into these categories. We also get these same kinds of messages in emails and phone calls. We do our best to answer all communications, with emergency issues understandably receiving priority treatment. Unfortunately, lately a small but growing number of residents when compared with the total, have decided to communicate with rude, and sometimes threatening letters, which may include rumors treated as fact and fiction treated as the gospel truth. We do still try to answer with respect, but this is sometimes difficult when the letter we are answering is so disrespectful. I am sure that those who read this blog are not the authors of the letters that fall into the rude category, but I am writing to assure all the reasonable and polite correspondants that their concerns do not get neglected while we give priority to the people who do the written equivalent of yelling and screaming. A written tantrum does not move someone's concern to the top of the priority list. We appreciate those who treat our employees with respect and look forward to their letters.

Welcome Brunch

Yesterday we held our first welcome brunch for those new residents who have closed on Harbor Hills Development built homes. It gave our new residents a chance to meet staff, learn about the country club and socialize with other newcomers. The food was delicious and the presentations were informative. We hope to have these events in the future as more new residents close on their homes.

Outgoing Mail

The new style cluster mailboxes installed at the South gate area include wider slots for outgoing mail. The other cluster boxes in the community have outgoing mail slots that may be used for standard envelopes. If you have an oversized card or other large flat envelope, it may be dropped in the outgoing mail slot at the new cluster boxes just inside the entrance of the South gate. Posted by Picasa
