Girls Gone Fishin'!

Thanks to Max Wood for the great photos. Her quote to go along with them is, "Yup, more grandkids visiting Max and Dale Wood. This time it's the girls fishing from the boat dock and they are reelin' them in. . . catfish, bluegill & sunfish!" Way to go, girls!!

Thank you, Bob Hamel!

When I posted last week about the beautiful new American flag and the flags for each branch of the service behind the 16th green at the Harbor Hills Veteran's Memorial, I did not know the whole story. I now know that these flags and poles were donated by member and resident, Bob Hamel. Thank you, Mr. Hamel, for your selfless generosity!

Just Arrived!

Harbor Hills is pleased to announce that we have just purchased a Toro Groundsmaster 3500-D Sidewinder. It is a revolutionary triplex rotary mower designed for superior performance trimming. The free-floating Countour TM Plus cutting decks allow mowing of undulating terrain without scalping. The center deck slides out to allow the cutting of areas that other mowers cannot get to. The cost of this unit was $28,000.00. This new piece of equipment will help us do a better job of trimming and detailing grees, tees and bunkers.

Harbor Hills Joins the Golf Course Home Network!

Harbor Hills Country Club is now a proud member of the Golf Course Home Network! We will be listed as a featured community, joining prestigious Golf Course Communities like Isleworth and Bella Collina.
Golf Course Home Network spends thousands of dollars every day on Google and on other websites to bring buyers to their featured communities. Joining Golf Course Home Network will enable us to sell both new and pre-owned homes.
Our sales associates sell more pre-owned homes at Harbor Hills than all of the other real estate companies that operate in our community put together. We spend more money on advertising Harbor Hills than all of the other real estate companies combined. We know Harbor Hills better than anyone else. We work full time seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. This is not a part time job for us, and we do not sell properties in other communities. When a buyer inquires about Harbor Hills, we show them only Harbor Hills. We do not show them homes in The Villages or Spruce Creek or any other Lady Lake or Central Florida locations.
Any home that is listed with with Harbor Hills receives a Special Incentive for your buyer to become a Golf or Social Member at Harbor Hills Country Club. This saves your buyer thousands of dollars, making your home easier to sell. It also brings revenue into our company, allowing us to continue renovating and upgrading our Club. If you are thinking of buying or selling a Harbor Hills home, please support our community and do it through Harbor Hills Sales. For more information and a free market analysis, please contact Sean Rich at 352-978-7630.

Resident and Member Directory

Our own resident and member, Larry Bayless, has been working hard in the wee hours of every morning volunteering his time to compile updated information to print a Resident and Member Directory for Harbor Hills. He has most of the data collected but has very few email addresses. There is a copy of the draft of the directory at the reception desk of the club. Please stop by to verify that your listing information is correct and, if you would like, add your email address. If you have any questions about the directory project, please contact Larry Bayless at lbayless1@earthlink.net or Regi Chapin at regi@atlantic.net.

Flags Flying

Have you seen the new flags at the Harbor Hills Veterans Memorial? The American flag is flanked by the flags of the four branches of the military to honor each of those branches of service.

New Mascot?

We are all used to seeing peacocks at Harbor Hills. But a pheasant? I didn't know they lived in Florida. Russell has had one take residence in the cart barn. No, the pheasant is not available for dinner invitations!

Beautiful Boat!

You may have read in the most recent issue of the Harbor Hills Views that Bill Murn had beeen restoring a Phillippine mahogany boat with ash trim that he and his father had built in the early 1950's. Here is the after picture! Isn't it beautiful? The boat recently made an appearance in the Mt. Dora Antique Boat Show.
